Cookie Policy
Last updated: 22 October 2026
This policy explains how Toy Hunt UK (run by P. Woolley, trading as Toy Hunt UK) uses cookies and similar technologies, including browser local storage.
1. What toyhunt.co.uk stores on your device
| Name | Type | Purpose | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
| toyHuntFavourites | Local storage | Keeps the toys you add to your Hunt list on this device. | Strictly necessary for a feature you asked for |
| toyhunt_cookie_choice_v1 | Local storage | Remembers that you have seen the privacy notice, so it is not shown on every page. | Strictly necessary |
| Analytics or advertising cookies | None | We do not use analytics, advertising or social-media tracking scripts on toyhunt.co.uk. | Not used |
Because we only use strictly necessary storage, we do not need to ask for cookie consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). Our privacy notice tells you what we store and links to this policy.
2. Product images
Some product images are loaded from our affiliate network’s image server (images2.productserve.com, run by Awin) and from retailers’ own image servers. Your browser contacts those servers to fetch the picture, so they can see your IP address, as any web server would. When we checked on 22 October 2026, those image requests did not set cookies.
3. Affiliate tracking after you leave our site
When you click a retailer link marked Ad (or a retailer button in our price comparison), you go to an affiliate network (Awin, Amazon or Sovrn Commerce) and then to the retailer. The network and the retailer may then set their own cookies on their own websites to record that you came from Toy Hunt UK. Those cookies are set by them, under their own cookie policies, not by toyhunt.co.uk.
4. Managing your choices
You can view or delete local storage and cookies in your browser settings. Clearing local storage removes your saved Hunt list.
5. Changes
If we ever add non-essential cookies or similar technologies, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before setting them.
